Buy something else, don't waste your money, April 15, 2012 By  V. Stevens (Illinois, USA) - See all my reviews    This review is from: New - Avante Classic 2 Slice Toaster Black by T-fal This series of toasters from T-Fal will, over time, lose the ability to toast properly. I've had mine only 2 years, and it takes 2 sessions to get it to toast at all. That, plus for no apparent reason, almost all of the print on the toaster (the T-Fal logo, any other words, the numbers on the dial and by the buttons, etc.) have washed off. We've never used anything other than water to clean it with, but the lettering has melted off. T-Fal's overseas manufacturer is not giving them cause for pride. It's just expensive junk.
